CNA classes in MA

To conform to the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and federal regulations, CNA classes in Massachusetts must include at least 75 hours of clinical study as part of their training. This is in addition to regular classroom study, so full-time students should expect to spend approximately 6 to 12 weeks completing their training. Acceptance into an accredited program usually requires the student to hold a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old. Certain institutions have their own prerequisites in addition to these.

To become certified as a CNA in Massachusetts, individuals must pass the NACE certification exam within 24 months of finishing their classes. If the person does not do this within the specified time frame, he or she will be required to retake all prior training courses. To be eligible for hire as a CNA, it is also necessary to be listed in the Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry.

With demand at its highest for nurses aides in the state’s largest city, CNA classes in Massachusetts are mainly offered in Boston.
