STATE NAME requires 85 hours of CNA training in a state approved program, including 24 hours of clinical experiences.
Before you get hands-on experience with a patient at a nursing home you will need 16 training hours in the six following subjects:
- Communication and interpersonal skills (include stress management)
- Infection control
- Safety/emergency/FBAO/Body Mechanics
- Promoting residents’ independence
- Respecting residents’ rights
- Legal/ethical behavior and scope of practice
